BE LIKE A

PALM TREE

BE LIKE A PALM TREE

"Be like a palm tree", does it makes sense? Well for some it does, for some it doesn't but really...who caresWe only want our "signature quote" to make you smile, to make you happy. To give you that special “island” feeling.

For me, palm trees are more than just a tree. They remind me of vacation, white beaches and deep blue seas. When there is a little sea breeze they swing back and forth, just like two young lovers dancing the merengue. And when it storms, they bend, even to the point being horizontal to the ground. But they don’t break. They never break. And when the storm dies down, the palm tree is able to stand upright again. In fact, the tree is actually stronger than it was before the storm.

Now you can read it and see it as a fact of nature or you can see it as a metaphor of life. Either way....we want you to make the words your own and to throw your coconuts on any beach you like.....

What does the quote “Be like a palm tree” mean for Ninefoot?

It inspired us to change our course and way of thinking. So we said goodbye to everything made of plastic and started to work only with biological materials. Not only in our shirts, but also in our way of packing and shipping. For example, our new shirts are packed in organic cotton bags and shipped in original cardboard tubes that we have called “Tubes of Happiness”.

What has a mammoth to do with a palm tree?

The mammoth has been the logo of Ninefoot island casuals for years and just as we have changed our way of thinking, our logo has also been transformed into the iconic emblem that you will find on all our new shirts. Now, where the mammoth stands for the adventures and travels of J.P. Elderman, the palm tree stands for the way Elderman lived his life and how he, despite all the setbacks, never gives up and always gets up again.

TUBES OF HAPPINESS

We know that you cannot put happiness in a little box, there is no guide, there are no rules, no manual that will teach you how to be happy, how to live a “happy”life. But that does not mean that we cannot try to put a smile on your face...

The Tubes of happiness is how Ninefoot packs and ships its shirts
