Why a mammoth as a logo?

In 1963 a great adventurer and bon vivant, John Elderman, found the remains of a mammoth off the coast of Key West. Convinced that the secret of the origin of the great Mammoth is in South America he sailed the Caribbean waters to prove he was right. It is his life and travels that have inspired us to create Ninefoot and his shirts. Naturally, the mammoth, the animal that has been so central to his life, became the logo of our clothing brand.

Why are Ninefoot shirts better than the rest?

Whether our shirts are better than the rest is not up to us. Of course we have our shirt made from the best cotton, made in the best Portuguese factories by enthusiastic and dedicated colleagues with a Ninefoot heart. Does this set us apart from the rest? No idea. What sets us apart is that all our shirts tell a story. A story about the life of John Elderman fueled by his philosophy “Be like a palm tree”.
