Les Voiles de St. Barth celebrates its 8th edition, April 10-15 2017. Created in 2010 by two old friends, François Tolède, organizing director, and Luc Poupon, race director, the first year of the regatta comprised 27 boats and had an exceptional ambassador, the legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

With its simple and straightforward goal of “competition on the water and conviviality on the shore,” Les Voiles de St. Barth has continued to attract sailors from around the world, growing from the original 27 boats in 2010 to almost 70 on the starting line last year. 80 boats are expected in 2017.

The roster includes some of the top names in sailing, such as Frenchmen Lionel Péan, Loic Peyron, Marc Guillemot, and Bertrand De Broc. From the international scene come Ken Read, Cam Lewis, Terry Hutchinson…

Close to 1,200 sailors of over 20 different nationalities gather each year for the four days of intense competition, in a festive, friendly ambiance… All set against the magnificent backdrop of the island of Saint Barthélemy.

Les Voiles de Saint Barth has established itself as a major date on the calendar of the most important regattas in the Caribbean.
